Hoom [Feb. 15th, 2004|07:34 pm]
[mood |creativecreative]
[music |Sublime - Greatest Hits]

Today was fast/slow, interesting/boring, and it leaves me feeling active/tired as shit.
Aaaah too much dual input.
I'm gonna start downloading linux as an alternate OS, because I'm getting really fucking tired of random shit appearing on my desktop every ten minutes. (things that spybot didn't catch apparently...) If anyone out there knows of a way to make Blizzard games work on Linux, tell me and I will buy you food!
Also on tonight's agenda...reading a little more Tao of Jeet Kune Do (despite Mark's best wishes not to), writing up some stuff for the vid room program (ideas were flowing like a chick on the rag today), and a little home repair (both our washer machine hoses broke at the same time...what are the chances?)
There goes the Thikkaman!

[music |Randy Buttsex - I Kill Everything]

So I go to the mechanic to find out what the verdict on my car is. Their answer was EXACTLY the same thing I said when I brought it in. "I think it may be the fuel pump." Well, I think YOU MAKE A FUCKING CAREER OUT OF ISOLATING AND FIXING CAR PROBLEMS, WHY ARE YOU GUESSING? The mechanic told me the car was "working" and that I could take it and wait until it fully breaks before they'd be able to know exactly what the problem is, so then I'd get to spend extra money on towing. Fuck that. I took the Food Lion assistant manager's offer today, he's gonna help me fix my car (for how much I do not know, but hopefully less than $400).
The car finally stopped starting up. It happened at the most opportune time too, right before I had to go to work. What was really nice before that was waking up to discover that the clothes I put in the wash wouldn't be dry anytime soon as the electricity was out due to the ice storm. I managed to get to work roughly 45 minutes late, fortunatly Jessica doesn't really care that I come in late, because I'm not Anita when I come in, thus I'm not dragging a shitload of drama into the workplace behind me.
In better news, I started the Deep Tissue unit on Thursday. Deep tissue uses swedish as its main staple, the only difference is it's all technique based rather than memorization of protocols. For me that means KUNG FU TIME, David Carradine style!
I started playing Starcraft on BNET again for sheer kicks, realized I no longer have an edge in combat and need to revamp my playing style.
So, revamping time then. ^^

Hobgoblins = Targets [Feb. 4th, 2004|01:37 am]
[mood |accomplishedaccomplished]
[music |FFT]

Taking out 5 between 3 turns = awesome.
Well, my fuel pump finally died today. Fortunately it happened once we got to Albemarle...
But, like an ethiopian child, beating it makes it work better. Grabbing a tire iron and putting several dents on my car I guess knocked enough sense into it to make it work again and get us to school in the freezing rain...just to discover that school was closed once again...
The car also made it back to the mechanic, which is good. But now I'm rideless again. Ah well.
I played D&D tonight, and kicked a lot of ass with a monk. Even gained a level. So...all's well that ends well I guess.
I gotta give props to Meghan for helping me eradicate my spyware. Now my memory won't be devoured every time I turn it on! Thanks again!
And with that, I'm gonna go over there. *vanish*

Spicy tomato garlic soup on sweet rice [Jan. 30th, 2004|02:50 am]
[mood |hotspicy]
[music |Earthbound OST - Giygas & Pokey]

It's a feast for the senses.
There was no school today. Which in turn means no school all week. Ah well, yet more time for me to get ready for the skeletal retake.
Watched a made-via-camcorder-in-Japan version of Kill Bill this morning. Sure the english subtitles were cockeyed, it was laden with Japanese subtitles, the quality was lacking and you could hear people in the audience laughing (especially during O-Ren Ishii's commencement speech), but the movie was just as great as when I saw it in the theater. I found myself getting in some much needed boken practice after watching it, just like last time.
Then, to continue being lazy, I fired up and finished Silent Hill, getting the Good+ ending (Cybil lives! Yay!). I remember hating that game so much after finishing it originally, as the storyline was incredibly vague. Silent Hill 3 gives me the knowledge to make sense out of the first now. After finishing the game, I decided to look over some FAQs for plot analysis, when something caught my eye. Those crazy Japanese are fueling my masochism once more. Konami announced plans for Silent Hill 4: The Room. I'm getting chills just thinking about it. Apparently, this one takes place mainly in one man's apartment, from which he can't get out of, but rather gets into random spots in Otherworld from strange portals that appear in his appartment... And while that almost sounds kinda farfetched, it IS Silent Hill we're talking about, so it's guaranteed to scare the shit out of me all hours of the night.
This year seems to be a good year for gaming and upcoming sequels/prequels. Halo 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, new GTA, and (hopefully) Starcraft: Ghost along with the aforementioned Silent Hill 4. Final Fantasy XII looks pretty promising as well, just as long as it doesn't go the way of Finalquest...uh, Everfantasy...um, 11...Ultima Online...I dunno, MMORPGs are all the same.
And...yeah, It's been a gamer day since I'm too broke to go anywhere. Tomorrow should prove a little more interesting though. And on that note, I'm gonna attempt sleep, although I'll probably end up playing something I haven't finished yet. So much FFX crap to find...

How to rub an ass, professionally. [Jan. 27th, 2004|04:07 pm]
[mood |creativecreative]
[music |Peter Gabriel - Secret World]

Step 1: Apply oil to the ass using gliding strokes.
Step 2: Knead the entire ass.
Step 3: Perform 3 sets of 4 gliding strokes from the side of the ass to the middle of the ass, working from top to bottom.
Step 4: Work the muscles above the iliac crest (top portion of hip) from middle of back to the sides.
Step 5: Locate sciatic notch (roughly the center of one ass cheek), sensitivly stroke one inch down.
Step 6: Knead, knead, knead. Like bread.
Step 7: Glide from top of ass to outer mid thigh.

Use this knowledge wisely, friends.

Resisting urge to throw PS2 across room [Jan. 27th, 2004|03:48 pm]

What's the best thing that can happen after spending 4 hours winning a Blitzball league season in FFX, earning status reels and getting that much closer to the Jupiter sigil?
System freeze.
Urge to kill...rising.

[music |Xenogears - Star of Hope (covered by One Up Studios)]

Damn, double sword is expensive. Rightfully so, I suppose, as it's the most powerful ability in FFTA.
Yesterday was my practical exam for Swedish massage. I scored an 82, mainly losing points for medial things like draping, contact holds, and body mechanics. What kinda pisses me off though was losing points for composition. All the time I'd come to understand "KNOW THE PROTOCOLS TO THE LETTER". And following them to the letter, I lose points for lack of creativity. Fuck you!
Oh well, shigata ga nai. At least now I'm done with memorizing the damned things and can move on. Deep tissue is the next unit, and along with that comes learning about muscles. I'll be doing that for the next three months. Whee.
I think after I finish this class I'm gonna do one of three things. A)Jump on a cruise liner and make mad profit since I'll be taken care of for food, board, and all that. B)Start working in a hospital to work towards creating a clientel. Or C)Going back to Germanna and taking up business classes. Dunno yet though, and I'm not aware of what other options there could be. All in good time I guess.
I need to start preparing for MAGFest as well. If anyone knows of any obscure movie or anime titles out there based on video games, fill me in please. ^^; I definately know the following things though:
-We're NOT showing Mega Man cartoons next year. Well, maybe a couple for sheer heckling value.
-Having each episode of the Legend Of Zelda series in good quality is a must.
-I need to start writing a program NOW.
I should also contact Brendan about when our first preliminary meeting will be, then figuring out how I'll make my car get there...
Gah, my internet bill is late. Ah well, fuck Earthlink. I'ma be switching soon.
But for now, I'ma be making me a bologna, pepperoni, and cheese sammich.
Ciao, hizomies.

It wasn't worth it anymore, nothing was... [Jan. 18th, 2004|12:40 am]
[mood |contemplativecontemplative]
[music |Ween - Pink Eye (on my leg)]

Ugh, gothic game quotes.
Anyways, today was filled with the coolness. Woke up at about 11:30, hungry as hell but still synthesizing sugar from the night before. Dan almost went to Asian Buffet with us, but then decided he didn't wanna risk being all late. Good call on his part since we didn't get back till 4:30 ^^;
The crew going to AB consisted of Ogre, Phil, Liz, and myself. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of the fact that Phil and Liz are not sushi fans...but we all still had a good time nontheless. We came back to my place and chilled for a little while.
"Just skip the formalites and throw in Guilty Gear" - Liz.
You know, Guilty Gear is a lot like the Simpsons. It just won't die gracefully, but rather intends to sicken us greatly before it retires.
Thursday was my skeletal system test. I scored a base 75. HUGELY disappointed in myself, but then again it was a really hard test and not too many in the class did well at it at all. I'll be retaking it mainly because I need to know the shit, as the muscular system starts next week and full knowledge of the skeletal system is essential supposedly.
After Phil and Liz left, I passed out for a bit, then awoke and finally noticed messages on my comp. It seems someone has seen my card and wants me to come work on them...*gets really nervous suddenly*. Now I really wish I had a table...
Well, I'm off to get ready for tomorrow. See ya later nice times!

Three o' clock and no snow [Jan. 15th, 2004|03:37 am]
[mood |nervousnervous]
[music |Random songs from Super Mario World]

The one time I was actually hoping for it to. I really did learn nothing in high school...
Well, my test is in six hours, amd I'm about 42.3742% ready for it (I rounded up). Plan for tonight is to not sleep, do all the extra credit work in one fell swoop, then study random things for the rest of the time until class starts.
It's ok though, I have a gallon of green tea, gas in the car to go buy sugar should I need it, and absolutely no sanity.
Strange thing happened at work today. Lauren's Mom came up to the deli today and said she heard I give great massages. Thing is, I've given one massage outside of class, two days ago. My client (oh man, I feel so cool saying that) said she told her friends at work about me, but she didn't tell Lauren's mom...
Oh wait, I forgot where I was for a moment. Small town talk travels faster than than a bus full of lesbians (they move lickety split, so the ancient parable tells).
I give one massage without a table and only partial knowledge of my protocols, and I've already started making a name for myself. Go me.
Well, I guess I should get back to work on the studying and what not.
I feel so alone, gonna end up a big ol pile of dem bones...PERIOSTEUM!

Oh one more thing, on Saturday afternoon, Ogre and I will be having lunch at Asian Buffet in Albemarle, prolly around late twelvish, early oneish. If you'd like to join us, do so, by all means.
