My first post since MAGFest (and in quite a while it seems). Wow...
MAGFest went pretty well this year, Despite some really big problems (low on staff, having the Vid room pushed around into a random spot on the third floor of the hotel, being way behind schedule) we still managed to make it a successful event.
So, as my old DM would ask me when he was about to give bonus EXP, "What did we all learn here?"
First of all, never get drunk and try to start a mosh pit during a Minibosses show on your off-hours. Both of my ankles are nearly healed, which is good since I have a body mechanics class in four hours. ^^;
I also learned that I'm gonna have to have a much bigger online presence to really make the video room a success. Thankfully, school's nearly over. Graduation is in a week and a half. Then it's work work work until I can acquire the funds to pay my debts and...acquire some...equipment.
RoopeCentral will once again be revamped soon. When, I cannot say, but it will soon be acting as a database for the video room.
Until then, I advise everyone to check out the MAGFest forums. Ooh yeah.
As for awesome M3 stuff. I got to see Silent Horror (the latest X-strike production) in its rough cut stage. I saw it during the premier, passed out in a depressed and physically broken stupor the night of the reshowing. I later got to see it in Tazewell Hall at W&M in a private reshowing with me, Brendan, Rez, Dan, Patrick, Ryan, and some other dude whose name I can't remember. And for those of you who don't know, Silent Horror is THE SHIT. Both highly amusing and at times creepy, SH delivered everything I'd hoped it would.
Lessee, I got to hang out and chat with awesome people like the people from X-Strike, Wave Theory, Empire Arcadia, Naz, and some familiar faces from last year's MAGFest. That was cool because I didn't get to do much of anything last year, outside of sitting in the vid room.
I actually played a few games even. All and all, it was an awesome, yet highly angering experience.
And with that, I'm off to finish putting all my stuff away (I still haven't finished unpacking...).
